Nantero - fast nano-tube non-volatile memory can be uses as DDR module

Nantero company presents new NRAM memory based on carbon nano-tubes which is capable of DDR performance (5ns r/w access time). These memories has retention about 15000years. See more details on https://fuse.wikichip.org/news/1656/nanteros-nram-a-universal-memory-candidate/  They were tested also in space. Currently Fujistu will produce first modules in 2019 (https://hexus.net/tech/news/ram/120050-fujitsu-will-start-mass-production-nram-next-year/).

Lessons learned from TinyOS

Here https://www.usenix.org/node/170849 , Philip Levis, Stanford University talks about why TinyOS is not as Arduino in these days. What was wrong with design?

TRI Analyzer

The spectral transmission-reflectance-intensity (TRI)-Analyzer attaches to a smartphone and analyzes patient blood, urine, or saliva samples as reliably as clinic-based instruments that cost thousands of dollars.
In a recently published paper, Cunningham’s team used the TRI Analyzer to perform two commercially available assays—a test to detect a biomarker associated with pre-term birth in pregnant women and the PKU test for newborns to indirectly detect an enzyme essential for normal growth and development. Their tests results were comparable to those acquired with clinic-grade spectrometer instrumentation.
In addition to its applications in health diagnostics, Cunningham said the TRI Analyzer can also be applied to point-of use applications that include animal health, environmental monitoring, drug testing, manufacturing quality control, and food safety. The patented technology is available for license.

Sainsmart display (320x240 LCD - 3.2'') (SSD1289 controller) framebuffer driver + touch (ADS7843) for RasperryPi

Sainsmart display become popular on  Ozzmarket.com  because it is very cheap (ebay) and also because Marks-Space kickstarter campain starts promotion LCD displays for RaspberryPi.  Their LCD display is based on different LCD driver controller (ILI9481)  and different touchscreen controller  (XPT2046) than SainSmart LCD. Sainsmart display is based on SPI SSD1289 chip with ADS7843 4-WIRE touch controller.
